Bulletproof coffee

Coffee with butter? Of course!

Lots of people around the world have been drinking it for a few years. Mostly in the USA where this idea originated. Its author – Dave Asprey, who is the author of a blog about healthy eating, popularized it after his visit to Tibet. He was fascinated with a local custom of adding butter made of yak’s milk to tea. Asprey replaced tea with coffee, yak’s milk with cow’s milk and voila! – it turned out to be a great idea.

Asprey is a supporter of the Paleo Diet in which carbs are limited. Coffee with fat was supposed to become a carbohydrate breakfast recommended by many dieticians.

Asprey of course recommends coffee and fats sold by his company. He underlines how important it is for butter to be made of milk of cows fed with fresh grass and coffee to be freshly ground 100% Arabica. MCT oil is essential in coffee composition, it my opinion the best is coconut oil.

Bulletproof coffee is a good solution when we are short of time and don’t want to have breakfast before the morning run or work. It gives you a boost and energy for a few hours. It stops cravings so it has more and more followers among people on diets. Remember though, Bulletproof coffee is not a wholesome meal. So much fat makes you adjust next meals in order for the all-day menu to deliver all the necessary nutrients and in the right proportions.

To drink? Not to drink? I sometimes drink, that’s sure. But I recommend watching the reactions of your body and mind.
And remember about moderation!!!

How to make Bulletproof coffee?

I blended all the ingredients – there will be some froth on top. You may also froth coconut milk into cappuccino.

And HERE there is my favourite coffee – cooked with spices!

Try it! It’s not that bad. It’ll come in handy especially before exams :).

Witam pieknie Aniu!
