LODZ!

Last weekend was amazing. I came to my hometown – Lodz – on Friday. I don’t really visit Lodz often so I’m always amazaed by the changes that take place there.

It’s an exceptional city, with a short, American-like history, with loads of factories and what’s left of them. It’s the city of Four Cultures Festival, Ballet Festival, great universities, museums and galleries. Movies are shot here again finally – just like old times, when Lodz was the center of Polish cinematography. There are many magical places in Lodz, you’ll fall in love with it if you get to know it better.

I spent the whole Saturday in Atlas Arena Lodz – a beautiful sports hall – where Katarzyna Krzywanska, the CEO of Academy od Traditional Karate in Lodz, organised a sports event.

Firstly, I conducted a workout for kids and teenagers from schools in Lodz. That’s something – training with more than thousand young people. They all came wih their PE teachers. Group from high school no. XXVI was the largest. Well, it’s not really suprising as their PE teacher Mariusz Koralewski, was one of the organizers of this event.

Secondly, karate entrants from the Academy had their shor. I stronly believe that some of the kids were encouraged to take up my favourite sport after the show :).

And then there was pure power! 600 determined people started from zumba with Katrin Kargbo to warm-up before Karate Cardio! Pure energy!

And when we all calmed down I gave a speech on nutrition and healthy diet. Diet is the basis!

Thank you to the Academy of Traditional Karate in Lodz for organising this beautiful event. But mainly – thank you to the participants! You were amazing I hope to see you soon!
